Club Name – Delhi Mayur Vihar
Project Details – Under the Sports and Physical Fitness Committee, On 26th September, 24 our Club organised Sports and games activities for 26 children of Yamuna Khadar Basti at Arya Samaj Mandir, Pocket 4 in Mayur Vihar Phase 1. The activities were –
1) Lemon Race in 2 categories
6 – 9 years and 10 – 14 years
2) Balancing the Book Race also in 2 categories –
6 – 9 years and 10 – 14 years.
Three winners were announced in each category. Also our members held a General Knowledge Quiz for the children. Two winners were announced in the Quiz. The children were given Raincoats, Candle Packets, Registers , Pencil Boxes with pens and Refreshments containing Snack boxes, Frooti and Biscuits. Also 4 teachers , who teach voluntarily some underprivileged kids in the Arya Samaj Mandir, were given Jute Bags with Inner Wheel Logo . A lady helper of the Temple was given a bag and Rs 500/- cash amount. One of our Club Member also donated Rs 500/- in the Temple. Total Amount Spent was Rs 6000/-. Our 8 Club members attended this project and there were 31 Beneficiaries.
