*Project Details: Self-Defense Workshop and Empowerment Initiative at Streebal NGO, Hamanyunpur, Delhi on 30th September 2024

The Inner Wheel Club of Delhi North West organized a Self-Defense Workshop at Streebal NGO, Delhi, with the aim of empowering young girls to protect themselves against violence and manipulation. The workshop was conducted by the Self-Defense team from the Delhi Police, with Constables Babita, Parita, and Roshna Jaegi. They engaged with the girls, discussing the importance of self-defense and how to protect themselves in dangerous situations. The officers demonstrated key self-defense moves and shared video clips that illustrated how to identify and avoid manipulation.
Empowerment Through Skill Development: To further support the girls, our club gave clothes to Streebal for the creation of bags, offering them a chance to generate income. The bags, branded with the Inner Wheel logo were donated to small children at the NGO for their daily use. This initiative served as a branding opportunity for the Inner Wheel Club. It also provided the girls with a sense of empowerment by fostering their independence and work skills.
Donations and Contributions: In addition to the self-defense workshop, the club made several donations to Streebal to enhance the facilities and support the girls’ well-being:
Ration supplies
Two sewing machines to aid in skill development
Two prams for babies
Inner wheel Bags were donated to children’s
Refreshments, including juice and snacks, were provided for all participants
Gifts were given to the self-defense team as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution.
