IWCD Janakpuri Avyukt got an opportunity to celebrate International Diabetes Day & Children’s Day on 14th October, 2024.
With the blessings of divine, we had organised a Diabetes Awareness campaign at MCD Primary School C4E Janakpuri where around 800 students from 1st to 5th Standard joined campaign. The team of Doctors from Apollo were available who explained the students about Diabetes and also guided them about their eating habits, healthy & unhealthy food, importance of Yoga and exercise. We also made the session interactive by having a questionnaire.
Thereafter we distributed Bananas to the students and also celebrated Children’s Day with them.
Shikha Aggarwal, one of our esteemed member explained the students about the gardening and also composted the Banana peels in the school garden and asked the student to do the same. Students were very happy and excited to learn something new from her.
The event was graced by the MCD Councillor, Mrs. Dimple Ahuja.
