Club Name – Delhi Mayur Vihar
Project Details – Proudly presenting our Club’s 100th Project. Every year Blind Relief Association located near Oberoi Hotel, Golf Links , organises a three day Chess Competition for visually impaired people. Our Club participates on the third day , in the Closing Ceremony of the Competition, since last many years. So, On 24th November, 24 , our 11 members participated in the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Our Club Advisor PDC Shashi Kumar Ji also graced the occasion. According to the organisers this competition is open to all the visually impaired people. This year 60 people participated between the age group of 8 – 50 years . Youngest being a student and eldest an employee of AIIMS. Some were partially blind and some were completely blind . Our Club sponsored the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Shashi Kumar Ji and our Club presented Ratna Shrivastava presented Cash Prizes ,Certificates and Trophies to the winner and also to the volunteers working there. Some children also presented a wonderful Cultural Programme. We also distributed 120 Snack Boxes in the event. Total Amount Spent was Rs 29100/- and there were 120 Beneficiaries. This project was done under the Help to Differently Abled Committee.
